About The Club
The picturesque Firth of Forth coastline forms the backdrop to this scenic Half Marathon, Relay and Family Fun Run.
Starting from the park land along north eastern coast of Edinburgh at Cramond, the route follows a south easterly course along through the Firth of Forth side developments of Leith, along the beach side promenade of Portobello continuing further southwards to the quiet picturesque town of Musselburgh before completing the 13.1 mile route at the grandstand finish of Musselburgh race course where your friends and family can cheer you on as you pass through the finishing tape.
In accordance with our health and safety policy, refreshments register to site for traders will be provided on the day in the form of water stands places strategically around the race course. ┬áRunners and their families will have purchase their own food from the nearby shops after the race if they wish to eat.
All of the gate receipts generated by the crowd go to the Red Cross. Our race event is sponsored by Discovery UK.
If you don’t feel you can complete the course alone why not sign up to the Half Marathon relay and bring along friends and/or colleagues to collectively complete the 13.1 mile course.
The big race itself takes place for Sunday 16 March 2008.
NEW Shuttlebus Tickets
We are pleased to announce that a limited service will operate a one way from St Andrews Square in the Edinburgh City Centre out to the race start at Cramond. This new service will operate between 7.00am and 8.00am on race day morning only. In order that the service be properly resourced access to this service will be by pre-purchased ticket only.
Official Event Timers
Interloq are Official Winning Time chip timing providers for this event.
Using the latest world class Winning Time technology, Interloq will provide timing services for the half marathon. Each entrant will wear an individual timing chip, which automatically records their finishing time. Look out for details in the race pack.
