To all those who took part in the Chris Hoy Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 18th April we would like to express our thanks for your support. Thank you also to all the volunteers from many agencies who generously gave up their time.

Thanks to our title sponsor, New Balance, for sharing our vision and for offering so much vital resource support. Highland Spring and Lucozade also require a special mention for supplying 20,000 bottles of water and energy drinks between them.

We are indebted to all of them for their continued support without which the event would not have been possible.

We would also like to thank the local residents who cheered the runners on throughout the main event.

Looking forward to 2011….

Requests to defer entries one year to the corresponding race in 2011 should have been received before the race entries closed at midnight Sunday 28 March to prevent an entrants race pack being prepared and dispatched.

As this date has now passed and all race packs have been despatched we cannot defer any entries to 2011 race.

We do request, however, that any runner who withdraws does NOT pass their race number and timing chip to an unregistered runner, but simply return the timing chip in the postage paid envelope included in their race pack. Failure to return the chip to us will result in the raising of a bill to the runner for the cost of replacing the timing chip.

Like the majority of UK road races we are unable to offer refunds for runners who choose to withdraw from the race.
